The Media TF has been working on the Media Source Extensions (MSE) specification since mid-2012. The most recent April 15 public Working Draft is at [1] and the most recent April 30 Editors Draft is at [2]. The Media TF is anticipating taking MSE to Last Call in the near future. As of the April 30 Editors draft there are only two open bugs [3] on MSE and the Media TF is planning to process these remaining bugs very soon. Today we are announcing a pre-Last Call period for the Media Source Extensions (MSE) specification which will end in three weeks on Wed May 22. The Media TF will process all new MSE bugs filed during this pre-Last Call period BEFORE proposing to the HTML WG to enter MSE into Last Call but any bugs filed after Tue May 21 will be processed as Last Call bugs. Having this cutoff date for pre-Last Call MSE bugs will more easily permit the Media TF and the HTML WG to ensure a timely entry into Last Call for the Media Source Extensions (MSE) specification. /paulc HTML WG co-chair [1] http://www.w3.org/TR/2013/WD-media-source-20130415/ [2] https://dvcs.w3.org/hg/html-media/raw-file/default/media-source/media-source.html [3] http://tinyurl.com/6pdnzej Paul Cotton, Microsoft Canada 17 Eleanor Drive, Ottawa, Ontario K2E 6A3 Tel: (425) 705-9596 Fax: (425) 936-7329
