Hi Judy and Janina, Standing regrets for the text team meeting, due to a recurring work conflict. But if things go well I may be able to call in for a few minutes. It is unfortunate that you haven't made a call for consensus on the proposed new text for the longdesc change proposal yet. If you would like me to consider switching out the current front page text [1] on the longdesc change proposal with the new text that sub-team wordsmithed [2] please do a call for consensus on today's text call and then with the full task force on Thursday. If you do not obtain consensus, I'll just use the current text which does have consensus. Sam and Paul, if the task force does not reach a successful CFC on the proposed new text [2], please use the current text [1] for the survey as it does have consensus. Thanks. Best Regards, Laura [1] Version that already has TF consensus: http://www.w3.org/html/wg/wiki/ChangeProposals/InstateLongdesc [2] Newly Wordsmithed version: http://www.w3.org/html/wg/wiki/Talk:ChangeProposals/InstateLongdesc On Tue, Sep 4, 2012 at 1:11 AM, Judy Brewer <jbrewer@w3.org> wrote: > Dear All, > > A reminder follows on our meeting time, calling info, agenda, and IRC info, > for the Text Subteam meeting of the HTML-A11Y Task Force. > > I expect this to be a shorter meeting, mainly status updates, plus > link-context checking for the buggy alt guidance, and the missing > alternative texts for the spec itself. > > - Judy > > ** MEETING TIME: > HTML-A11Y Text Alternatives Sub-Group WAI_PF(Text) > Tuesday 4 September, 17:00 UTC/Z for 60 Minutes > Check meeting time in your time zone using Fixed Time Clock at: > <http://timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?iso=20120828T13&p1=43> > 10 AM Pacific; 1 PM US Eastern; 6 PM London; 19:00 Paris (CET) > > ** TELECONFERENCE INFO: > Dial Zakim bridge using either regular phone, SIP, or Direct SIP: > - Regular phone: +1.617.761.6200 (in U.S.), CODE: 2119# (a11y#) > - SIP: zakim@voip.w3.org, CODE: 2119# (a11y#) > - Direct SIP: 002119@voip.w3.org ( > http://www.w3.org/2006/tools/wiki/Zakim-SIP ) > - Additional VoIP tips: http://www.w3.org/2006/tools/wiki/Zakim-SIP-tips > > ** AGENDA: > agenda+ Agenda review; identify scribe. > agenda+ Issue 204, status of expedited formal objection > ( http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-html-a11y/2012Aug/0256.html ) > agenda+ Issue 30, longdesc, status of updated change proposal text > agenda+ Issue 31b, buggy alts and buggy alt guidance, confirming links and > evidence > agenda+ Issue 206, metagenerator exemption removed, status of remaining 206 > explorations > agenda+ Confirm next meeting; identify next scribe; adjourn > > ** IRC INFO: > - IRC server: irc.w3.org, port: 6665, channel: #text. > - Zakim commands forIRC: 61# to mute; 60# to unMute; 41# to enter speaking > queue; 40# to exit speaking queue (the system acknowledges commands with a > three-tone confirmation). > - Mobile phone users especially should use the mute function if they don't > have a mute function on their phone, but the hand-raising function is a good > idea for anyone not using IRC. > - for more on IRC setup, agenda robots, speaker queuing: > http://www.w3.org/2001/12/zakim-irc-bot.html and > http://www.w3.org/Project/IRC/ > - for a Web gateway to IRC you can use if your network administrators forbid > IRC: http://www.w3.org/2001/01/cgi-irc > - for RRSAgent that captures and posts log with action items: > http://www.w3.org/2002/03/RRSAgent > - for Zakim (maintains speaker and agenda queues): > http://www.w3.org/2001/12/zakim-irc-bot > - Gregory Rosmaita's scribing and participation tips: > http://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/wiki/Teleconference_cheat_sheet > > ** KEY URI's: > Last minutes: http://www.w3.org/2012/08/21-text-minutes.html (Aug 28 had > minimal minutes) > Background: http://www.w3.org/2011/04/14-html-a11y-minutes.html#item02 > Task Force Wiki: http://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/HTML/wiki/Main_Page > Consensus Procedures: http://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/HTML/consensus-procedures > Work Statement: http://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/html-task-force.html > Dial-in Instructions: > http://www.w3.org/Guide/1998/08/teleconference-calendar.html#s_4691 -- Laura L.
