The Chairs have issued a decision to reopen ISSUE-30 (longdesc). See:

I will attend this week's TF meeting so that a Chair is present if the TF wants to add this item to its agenda.

Here's the preliminary agenda for this week's a11y TF telcon. If you have any agenda items you'd like to add, please reply with the details.

** preliminary agenda for HTML-A11Y Task Force Telecon 03 March 2011 at 16:00Z for 60 minutes

agenda+	face-to-face agenda planning (details at [1] below)
agenda+	actions review http://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/HTML/track/actions/open

[1] Face-to-face: proposed topics:

  - working session to create content for the HTML 5 ARIA section on
parsing rules for ARIA markup. (I forget the issue associated with this
as a result of ARIA entering CR). This should also include a reference
to the role attribute module (Rich, Cynthia, Steve, and Mike Cooper
    should be present)
  - canvas accessibility: Defining bounding rectangle for fallback content
to accurately reflect the rendered counterpart on the canvas drawing
surface (It would help if browser people were here for this discussion)
  - Counter proposal to a11y TF proposal for Issue 131. (if it comes up)
  - ARIA.Next (Do we need one for HTML5? If so, what should it have?)

  - HTML WG process expectations
  - session on characteristics of a good change proposal (tutorial? volunteers?)
  - open issues: media, canvas, longdesc, ARIA integration keyboard access
  - updated review of spec

** conference infrastructure access information a.k.a. dial-in instructions

Reference: http://www.w3.org/Guide/1998/08/teleconference-calendar.html#s_273

Dial the Zakim bridge at one of the following three telephone numbers:
+1.617.761.6200 (This is a U.S. number).
+ (This is a French number)
+44.203.318.0479 (This is a UK number)
You should be prompted for a pass code,
this is

IRC: server: irc.w3.org, port: 6665, channel: #html-a11y.

During the conference you can manage your participation with Zakim commands as follows:
   61# to mute yourself
   60# to unMute yourself
41# to raise your hand (enter speaking queue)
40# to lower your hand (exit speaking queue)

The system acknowledges these commands with a rapid, three-tone confirmation. Mobile phone users especially should use the mute function if they don't have a mute function in their phone. But the hand-raising function is a good idea for anyone not using IRC.

* IRC access

There will also be an IRC channel available. The server is irc.w3.org,
the port number is 6665 (note this is not the normal default) and the channel is #html-a11y.

- for RRSAgent, that captures and posts the log with special attention to action items:

- for Zakim, the IRC interface to the bridge manager, that will maintain speaker and agenda queues:
