Hi y'all, I have written a change proposal for the retention of the @summary attribute (as per my action item). Summary The current editor's draft lacks a conforming way to provide a non-visual, accessible table summary mechanism for non sighted users of Assistive Technology. The status of the summary attribute in HTML 5 is that it is obsolete. [1] In order to support the many users of older Assistive Technology, as well as current user agent support for @summary this change proposal: Makes the summary attribute fully conforming and not obsolete in HTML 5. The full CP can be found here [1] Comments, brickbats etc welcome. Cheers Josh [1] http://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/HTML/wiki/Category:Table_Summary
