Hey everyone, This actually is two calls for editors, one for the WebGPU specification <https://gpuweb.github.io/gpuweb/>, and one for the WGSL specification <https://gpuweb.github.io/gpuweb/wgsl/>. There has been quite some time since the last call for editors in 2019 <https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Member/internal-gpu/2019Jun/0002.html> and since then Dzmitry Malyshau stepped down from editorship of the WebGPU spec. Both specifications are getting feature-complete enough to start progressing on the recommandation track, but from an editorial perspective we can see they have been growing organically. So the group is looking for editors whose responsibility would be to: - Incorporate update to the specifications approved by the group. - Maintain the editorial and technical quality of the specification. - Manage the publishing of the specification for official approval by the working group by the working group. - Maintain the relevant gpuweb repos. *CALL FOR NOMINATIONS* We are seeking nominations for spec editor(s) due in four weeks (it's summer vacation for some folks) so before 2022-08-05. To nominate someone, including yourself please answer this thread. The assumption is that existing editors would stay in their role unless they wish to step down or move roles (between the specs). Current editors are: - Kai Ninomiya and Brandon Jones for WebGPU - David Neto and Myles C. Maxfield for WGSL Cheers, Corentin
