Hi Makx, Yes it is valid to use xdd:dateTime and any other possible date/time formats defined by XSD. See the DCAT description at the working draft https://dvcs.w3.org/hg/gld/raw-file/default/dcat/index.html#Property:catalog_release_date : range: rdfs:Literal encoded using the relevant ISO 8601 Date and Time compliant string and typed using the appropriate XML Schema datatype [XMLSCHEMA-2] Best regards, Fadi -------------------------------------------------- Fadi Maali PhD student @ DERI Irish Research Council Embark Scholarship holder http://www.deri.ie/users/fadi-maali On 11 Jul 2013, at 16:50, Makx Dekkers <mail@makxdekkers.com> wrote: > My apologies for this late comment. I was made aware in the last couple of days that recording publication and modification events for Dataset with granularity of one day ("date") may not always be adequate. I was given an example of a Dataset that is issued every twelve hours so it would need to be able to record the event with xsd:dateTime rather than xsd:date. I also thought of an example of weather or traffic reports that are published every five minutes. > > Is it valid to use dct:issued and dct:modified with xsd:dateTime rather than xsd:date? > > Makx. > > -- > -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Makx Dekkers > mail@makxdekkers.com > --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
