Dear dcat editors, In May 2011 there was a two-day workshop on data catalog interoperability in Edinburgh. One of the formats/proposals discussed there was dcat. There was some good input from people who have considerable experience in harvesting protocols and in data archiving. John and myself were at the meeting, but afterwards didn't get a chance to explore how to best fold that input into the dcat draft. Notes from the workshop relevant to dcat are here: http://wiki.okfn.org/OpenDataCatalogues/2#Gold_Standard_Best_Practices_Proposal http://wiki.okfn.org/OpenDataCatalogues/2#Proposed_Harvest_Mechanism I hope to find the time to turn this into some concrete change proposals, but in the meantime I think it's a good idea to at least make all of you aware of these raw notes. All the best, Richard
