I think language may be overkill. I am, however in creating programming interface standards for web game development at a framework level. That is one of the major goals of Abacus: https://github.com/Abacus/Abacus/wiki/goals That being said, I encourage you to make a new language! I think dart and coffeescript both push the open web platform forward (even if I would never use them). -Boaz -- Boaz Sender http://bocoup.com | 1-617-379-2752 355 Congress St, Boston MA, 02210 On Thu, Nov 10, 2011 at 5:12 AM, jonathan chetwynd <j.chetwynd@btconnect.com > wrote: > my email 'Syntax and vocabulary' was perhaps overtly obscurantist. > > the underlying concern expressed is whether the members of this community > are solely interested in HTML5 as a gaming platform, > or wether there is a quorum interested in conceiving and developing a web > gaming language to which HTML5 is merely a stepping stone. > > cheers > > ~:" > > ** ** ** ** > > <http://www.peepo.com/> > > Jonathan Chetwynd > > j.chetwynd@btconnect.com > http://www.peepo.com/ > > +44 (0) 20 7978 1764 > > On 10 Nov 2011, at 08:36, Conceiro Igueregui, Alexander wrote: > > I think that if you´re using HTML5 technologies is assumed that you are > targeting mobile devices also (maybe in the long run) not only desktop.
