Subject: [xml-dev] [ANN] Schematron news

1) Schematron website front page updated (with hyphenation too!) to include more information about adopters, based on recent requests for this.

2) ISO Schematron skeleton code distributions for XSLT1 and XSLT2 updated.

   - some XPath syntax checking
   - fix for EXSLT
   - localization in several languages
   - fast-fail option
   - tracks the proposed ISO Schematron standard update
   - bundles ISO versions of Schematron-in-XSD and Schematron-in-RELAX NG extractors

3) New version of Schematron for Ant task.

   - Full ISO Schematron
   - Beta, but 3rd release. Testers sought.
   - Supports XSLT1 and XSLT2
   - Support output as SVRL or message
   - Many options supported

4) Committee Draft of the proposed next gen ISO Schematron out
   http://www.itscj.ipsj.or.jp/sc34/open/1419.pdf (draft standard)

    - better modularization
    - better variables
    - patterns can be on different documents
    - properties support tool chains better
    - standardization of this update expected 1Q2011
5) Of possible interest at my blog

     - Using grammars with Schematron:
    - Schematron reference card
    - A three-layer model for XML (software engineering)

6) Another blog with Schematron information
      - Joel Byford's NIEMatron site with matters of interest wrt US
NIEM effort
