Dear Forms WG -- as a strawman for our discussion tomorrow about potential groupings of modules into Rec Track documents, I've prepared the attached experiment for the Data Layer. As outlined in the draft agenda for the F2F, this includes the Data Island, Binding Attributes, Accessors, and XPath Functions Modules. There's a (very incomplete) introductory section modeled after the current 1.1 CR which needs to be further edited to introduce the Data Layer as a separable entity from XForms. Since I've not yet submitted my certificate for CVS access I regret that I can only attach the generated HTML file and not upload the source SpecXML. We can edit that during the virtual day tomorrow and I can also send it to John to upload to CVS after that. Of course, this packaging is entirely subject to WG discussion regarding the desired level of granularity in modules and in collecting them into rec track documents. As the saying goes, existing code (spec) is not a valid argument against changes... Thanks, Charlie (See attached file: index-diff.html) Charles Wiecha Manager, Multichannel Web Interaction IBM T.J.
