Re: regarding test case 5.2.1.a,b,c

Hi Charlie,

These tests are a bit odd because you indicated that they work in two
processors, but they seem to contain a relevance bind that turns all the
data to non-relevant. Wondering if you could remove that bind and see if
the form still works?
Also, I suppose it would be more comfortable if the XForms instances had
xmlns=""  on them.

Hi Joern -- attached are updated versions of tests 5.2.1.a, b, c corrected
to test for validity on setvalue not form initialization. As you point
out, validity events should not be fired on form initialization so we have
modified these tests to set some (arbitrary) initial value but then
explicity use setvalue to assign null values...testing for validity only
at that time.

We would appreciate any feedback you could give on these versions before
we commit them back to the test suite zip file. I have tested them under
Ubiquity XForms and Mozilla 3.0.15 but any additional feedback would be
good to have...

Thanks, Charlie Wiecha

regarding test case 5.2.1.a,b,c

In an attempt to fix the last missing issues on the road to full
conformance i stumbled about the above mentioned test cases again.

Please can anyone point out to me what is expected here - i travelled
the net and spec for an answer but i simply don't get why this form
should dispatch any xforms-valid xforms-invalid events when a reset
action is triggered. There are no changed values, the relevance of the
Nodes in the first instance is not changed so i cannot see why a
processor should dispatch events in this case (besides the rebuild,
recalculate, revalidate and refresh).

Can someone please shed some light on this?

Regards,

Joern
