I have updated my XHTML 1.0 home page (sig block) to utilize content-negotiation (my Web service provider uses Zeus) in order to serve it as Content-Type: application/xhtml+xml (IAW W3C recommended practice) for correct functionality in modern XML compatibile browsers such as Firefox and as Content-Type: text/html in MSIE and legacy browsers. It is indeed rendering as prescribed. After expending this effort I got to wondering about how document serving and MIME type handling is being contemplated for XHTML 2.0? I checked the working draft but couldn't quite grasp the proposed methodology. Could anyone provide me with a cursory "heads-up"? I admit to not keeping up with developments of late -- I am quite rusty. James Pickering: http://www.jp29.org/
