Hi all, I've made editorial changes to the following sections of the "SKOS Semantics" wiki draft: [1] <http://www.w3.org/2006/07/SWD/wiki/SKOS/Semantics/Introduction> (new revision: 16) [2] <http://www.w3.org/2006/07/SWD/wiki/SKOS/Semantics/Labelling> (new revision: 6) (N.B. you can view the revision history for any wiki page by clicking on the "Info" link above the page content.) In both of these sections, the tag "[OWL-Full]" is now used to indicate axiomatic triples which MAY be ignored, in order to view the SKOS semantics as a vocabulary extension of OWL-DL. Previously, the tag "[DL-optional]" was used for this purpose, however this tag was found to be confusing. Please note that, as stated in [1], this idea of considering certain axiomatic triples to be an OPTIONAL part of the SKOS Semantics is suggested as a *temporary* solution to the problem of using the SKOS vocabulary within OWL-DL ontologies. Accepting this solution may have a number of further consequences, for example on the content of the document made available from the SKOS namespace, which need further consideration. Please also note that [1] proposes the SKOS Semantics be presented such that SKOS can be viewed as a vocabulary extension of either RDF, RDFS, OWL-DL or OWL-Full. Applications would then be free to choose which underlying semantics (RDF, RDFS, OWL-DL or OWL-Full) to take as the basis for the SKOS semantics. This idea also needs further consideration, and especially consultation from the developers of the RDF and OWL semantics (or anyone with similar expertise) as to whether it is both sensible and technically feasible.
