RE: Territorial Units Thesaurus

Hi Javier,

The only similar thing I know about is the 'operational areas ontology' used to drive the SWED website [1].

If you go to the SWED 'technical resources' page [2] you'll find under the section 'pilot thesauri and ontologies' a link to the 'Operational Area Ontology' [3].  This ontology is defined using a custom set of classes and properties, i.e. it's OWL, not SKOS, although I wouldn't see any problem with defining each 'territorial unit' as a SKOS concept and linking via skos:broader, or some sub-property of skos:broader that you define yourself.

The people to talk to about SWED can be found at [4].

There is some other SKOS data to be found via [5], although nothing specialised to territorial units.
