Picking up from the discussion about 'other requirements', Nate Otto suggested we align with validFor <http://schema.org/validFor> from the Permit <http://schema.org/Permit> type to express the period for which an educational occupational credential is valid. This relates to our use case that "having found a credential it should be possible to identify what is required to renew or maintain the validity of that credential". We also have a use case to show the coverage of a credential, i.e. the geographic area or jurisdiction for which the credential is valid, which came up during our discussions on the language of a credential. The validIn <http://schema.org/validIn> property from the Permit type would cover this. So the proposal is that we adjust the expected domain of validFor and validIn to include Educational Occupational Credentials, and modify the definitions to refer to "permits and credentials".
