[EOWG] Responses to Questionnaire Accessibility Course List Eagle Review

Dear Jade,

We would first like to thank you for taking the time to contribute to improving this resource.

We have received valuable feedback and some of the suggestions have already been incorporated into the tool, others have been added to our to-do list for the next development stages, and others may need further discussion.

The updated version is currently available at: https://614c42623e94470008d04ab1--wai-list-of-courses.netlify.app/list-of-courses/

A brief summary of all the updates made is available at:

Following is the list of the answers you have provided in the Eagle Review Survey with our comments for each one of them. Let us know if you have any further considerations or additional clarifications on any topic are needed.

  *   Attributes for describing offers

     * Date of last information update and date of last update to course contents might be easily confused.

We have changed both attributes to be displayed at the bottom of the section as:
This information was last updated on [date].
The content of this offer was last updated on [date].

     * Why is platform included? (Apologies if I've missed that conversation about why it's important along the way.)

We may expect some users to have preferences on platforms, especially considering the accessibility of different platforms.

     * I think the categories are appropriate, I'm wondering if icons could be used so that it's less reliant on text? Icons might offer a quicker way to enable people to scan for the info they're looking for.

The reviews being conducted aim also to ensure that the text provided on this resource is sufficient to provide a good comprehension of the information available. According to the feedback received about the latest changes made, we will further discuss in future surveys which items can benefit from an associated info button with a sort of glossary. Icons might be used to reinforce some of that information, however, we are not sure which items could benefit from an icon. Any suggestions?

  *   Filter categories

     * Should there be more congruence between the attributes listed under each offer and the filter categories? E.g. keywords, lamguage, duration? Perhaps these could be under an 'advanced' filter option?

We included a “Language” filter. We propose this filter including only the languages available in current offers in order to minimize the number of options. In order to not make these initial filters too complex, an advanced filter option is planned for future developments.

  *   Landing page

     * I think everything should be on the landing page, the disclaimer isn't very big, Carew the submit new course button won't be either, and surely a short overview can go at the top of the page?

We do agree with this suggestion concerning the landing page and the submit new offer button, as well as the majority of the respondents. We’ll be following that approach in further developments. In addition, considering the feedback received, we believe that some of the items were not clear enough. The changes we have made aimed to make this information more intuitive so that we don't need any additional instructions. According to the feedback received about these changes, we will further discuss in future surveys which information could be useful in a short overview paragraph.

Thank you for your time and we look forward to hearing your comments.

Best,
Letícia
