Dear Kris Anne, We would first like to thank you for taking the time to contribute to improving this resource. We have received valuable feedback and some of the suggestions have already been incorporated into the tool, others have been added to our to-do list for the next development stages, and others may need further discussion. The updated version is currently available at: https://614c42623e94470008d04ab1--wai-list-of-courses.netlify.app/list-of-courses/ A brief summary of all the updates made is available at: https://github.com/leticiaseixas/wai-list-of-courses/blob/914a8c32080caa4175f874ec5df8ded53f867132/README.md Following is the list of the answers you have provided in the Eagle Review Survey with our comments for each one of them. Let us know if you have any further considerations or additional clarifications on any topic are needed. * Attributes for describing offers * I have 2 clarifying questions. * # 1. What is the meaning of "Degree of Certification" - Is that supposed to mean if it's part of a certification curriculum? We have reviewed both categories, “Offer type” and “Degree of certification”, and decided to merge them. Current attributes for defining an offer are: Graduate program, Undergraduate program, Training program, Professional certification, and Other. With these changes and to avoid increasing the complexity of the filters, we believe that a subcategory comprising the types of certificates and degrees could be included in the advanced filtering resource, to be developed - and reviewed - in future activities. * # 2. WAI Curricula correspondence isn't sitting right with me. I assume that you mean it to say which curricula section does it map to - but I feel like the word correspondence says more like letter or communication, not what I think you are trying to convey. I am thinking of both from the perspective of a person trying to put a course in (They may not even know about the WAI Curricula) and a person trying to find a course, to know what that means so they know what they are looking for. Will there be any explanatory text about some of the attributes? The changes we have made aim to make this information more intuitive so that we reduce the need for any additional information. In this sense, we updated this attribute to “WAI Curricula module”. According to the feedback received about these changes, we will further discuss in future surveys which items can benefit from an associated info button with a sort of glossary. * # Also, the more I see "Offer Type", the more it seems like a strange attribute title for the options that people have. Trying to think if there is a better way to describe them - I need to think on that more. Maybe it's the word offer all together. Could we not say "course type"? Or because maybe its not an official course, that would cause confusion? (apologies for the stream of consciousness here) The reason behind the choice of using the word “offer” instead of “course” is mainly because it allows us to also cover certifications - that are highly related to training and courses, but are not properly a course. Depending on the feedback we receive on these latest changes, we consider including an open issue to further discuss the phrasing and title of this resource. * Filter function * Should the Clear Filters button be at the top where I see the filters chosen OR somewhere near the filters? Maybe in both places? can we duplicate it at the bottom of the list of filters? Just thinking of providing it in multiple places so it's easier to find. We included a second “Clear filters” button at the bottom of the list of filters. * Landing page * # I think the Submit a new course should be on the landing page. If you want to put overview information, I would create it as a short paragraph at the top, not another page. We do agree with this suggestion, as well as the majority of the respondents. We’ll be following that approach in further developments. As previously mentioned, according to the feedback received about these latest changes, we will further discuss in future surveys which additional information might be useful to include. * # When the form to submit a course is created, will it have info to help people pick the categories in case they have questions about where their courses would fit in? After developing the listing resource, we will begin the development of the submit form. The same review process will be conducted in order to ensure a simple interface and taxonomy to minimize the need for additional information. However, further explanation might be needed for some of the attributes required. * # Can courses fit into multiple categories? Yes, depending on the category. It is possible to imagine a course for Developers and Designers, for instance, but the same does not apply for Online or Face-to-face formats, considering that it falls into the Hybrid format. We believe this is going to be clearer with the submit form, representing this structure through radios and check buttons. * Additional comments * I think this resource is going to help A LOT of people find good information to learn more about accessibility. I am very excited to see it take shape. We are also very excited to be working on this project. 😊 Thank you for your time and we look forward to hearing your comments.
