Re: RESPONSE REQUESTED by 26 July: EO Materials co-editors: greetings, thanks and next steps

Hi team,

1. Please confirm that you can undertake this role and commit the time to completing it in the timeframe indicated (note that not all resources must be completed pre-launch).

I can confirm I can commit co-editor:

  *   Selecting/Using Authoring Tools for Web A11y
  *   Editorial Guidelines

2. Have you communicated with your co-editor? with your review team?

  * No, and especially not for authoring tools. Silly question - where can I find everyone's email addresses to contact them?

3. When can we expect to see your plan/timeline for edits, review cycles, and submission for EOWG approval of the resource(s) assigned to you?

  * I'll update once I've spoken with the Laura Keen

4. What additional support would you like to have?

5. Any other questions or comments?

  *   Nothing at this stage

Subject: RESPONSE REQUESTED by 26 July: EO Materials co-editors: greetings, thanks and next steps

Hello everyone,

First and most important - thank you for your help in revising the WAI materials to update/polish/revise them for the relaunching of the WAI web site in November. This is an enormous task and could not be done without your help - thanks again!

You are BCC'd on this message if you have been assigned as co-editor on one or more of the EO resources needing review and revision. The assignment list is a Google sheet found here:EOWG Resource Management Assignments <https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1nJb1_PNbT6bMEz0AuWA1HRj-w2LeujXMatvmajYS4is/edit?usp=sharing>

The assignments were largely based on survey responses.However a few holes were left and we filled those with names of those of you who did not complete the survey. So confirmation is required in some cases.

Additionally, we introduced a detailed Guidance for Editing and Review teams<https://www.w3.org/WAI/EO/wiki/EOWG_Participation_Info#Editing_and_Review_Teams>
that might help you determine your approach to the task. One editor's approach to engage her review team is here: [Intro doc] Ready review #1<https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-eo-archive/2017JulSep/0000.html> Once you have a sense of your approach and the timing for your work, please respond to this list and answer these questions:

1. Please confirm that you can undertake this role and commit the time to completing it in the timeframe indicated (note that not all resources must be completed pre-launch).

2. Have you communicated with your co-editor? with your review team?

3. When can we expect to see your plan/timeline for edits, review cycles, and submission for EOWG approval of the resource(s) assigned to you?

4. What additional support would you like to have?

5. Any other questions or comments?

Thanks again, we look forward to hearing from you and facilitating efficient production of these valuable resources. I am more grateful than I can say and thrilled to be in such great company doing such important work!

Onward!
Sharron and Brent
