Dear all, First of all Happy New Year everyone! Unfortunately, I have a meeting during the time of our first call this year so I won’t be able to join today. Besides, my schedule for the next three months is very tight and thus I can only participate sporadically. I wish I‘d have more time. Although I won’t be able to contribute actively to our paper, I think that it would be a really good sign and opportunity for us to present the initiative. As a short paper I guess it will be difficult to provide an elaborated comparison of existing standards. However, I think that maybe an explanatory presentation of the need of an improved usage of Semantic Web technologies for crisis management as well as a discussion of appropriate ways to reach this goal (including our initiative) could be a really good contribution. We could gather really good feedback by both crisis management researchers and practitioners. And as I am involved in this year’s ISCRAM conference as member of the scientific committee and co-organizing the practitioner track I know that the initiative is highly relevant and a submission would be appreciated in several tracks. I wish you all a constructive call today and will try to help wherever I can in the follow-up.
