In follow-up to the eGov IG's telecon yesterday morning, I inferred a StratML document from the text of our group note. It is available at http://xml.gov/stratml/index.htm#eGovIG or, more specifically, http://xml.gov/stratml/IAGBUW.xml Not all of the objectives outlined in the note fit neatly under the broader goals. So I placed them where they seemed to fit best. It will be interesting to see which stakeholders of the: a) performer type step forward in leadership roles in pursuit of the objectives implied in the note, and b) b) beneficiary type may be willing and able to provide feedback on and, hopefully, *use* our work products to further *their*objectives. http://xml.gov/stratml/draft/StratMLGlossary.xml#Stakeholder >From my perspective, it would be good if the eGov IG could render its subsequent publications as mini-strategic plans or, better yet, *performance* plans. (AIIM's StratML Committee has not yet achieved consensus on the elements of performance plans, which will be Part 2 of the standard, but candidates are listed at http://xml.gov/stratml/index.htm#WorkResults.) Needless to say, if the group is inclined to do so, I will be more than happy to help. BTW, this was my first attempt to apply the most recent version of the schema for strategic plans (Part 1 of the standard), using the InfoPath form depicted at http://xml.gov/stratml/index.htm#WorkResults or, more specifically, http://xml.gov/stratml/references/InfoPathRendition20090509.doc All of the other 500+ plans in the collection are based on the initial draft of the schema: http://xml.gov/stratml/index.htm#StratPlans Owen Ambur Co-Chair Emeritus, xmlCoP <http://xml.gov/index.asp> Co-Chair, AIIM StratML Committee <http://xml.gov/stratml/index.htm> Member, AIIM iECM Committee <http://www.aiim.org/Standards/article.aspx?ID=29284> Invited Expert, W3C eGov IG <http://www.w3.org/2007/eGov/IG/> Communications/Membership Director, FIRM Board <http://firmcouncil.org/id5.html> Former Project Manager, ET.gov <http://et.gov/> Brief Bio <http://ambur.net/bio.htm>
