Hi Group, I had an idea this weekend on how there could be a simple way to authenticate Gov twitter accounts and facebook fan pages. A link to an official government website which contains a reciprocal link back to the online social network page. So you know that the online social network account holder is an authorized government rep. Seems this would handle some authentication issues and while not a complete solution, it works with the current options available and is easy to implement.
