Hey there, I'm Product Manager for Editing at the Wikimedia Foundation[0], and one of my responsibilities is VisualEditor[1], a contentEditable-based rich editor aimed at being a good all-round editor for documents with complex contentEditable=false elements, principally for integration with MediaWiki for editing Wikipedia and our other sites. As I imagine many of you are familiar with some of the issues we're run into I won't try to re-hash them, but it's been a fun ride (though, happily, browser bugs and specification gaps seem generally to be getting fewer in number). Johannes Wilm reached out to suggest we join in and help this task force; I'll probably ask one of our developers to join as well.
