Sorry, @makxdekkers, I didn't say that right. What I mean is a single digital resource - a digital photograph, an mp3 music file - each being the digital representation of a single "thing". And I agree with your first paragraph - what is the need to attempt to redefine DCAT for other types of catalogs?
