@kcoyle you may have created any confusion with a definition of data profile if you think that the nature of profiling only applies to data just because you have used it in that context in such a definition. Functional profiling has exactly the same definition except it applies to functional behaviour.  We just repeat the words without the stipulation it applies to data.  Messy but consistent. We now need to spell out the difference every time rather than leave it to the reader to understand the subject of each referencing to profiling, but thats just an ugliness we can live with.
