I took an action to list the requirements not in the guidance document. Here it is. I copied these in raw wiki form so that the github links would be included: * Requirement: Profiles may be written in or may link to a document or schema in a validation language (ShEx, SHACL, XMLschema). [ID41] (5.41) [profile] ([https://github.com/w3c/dxwg/issues/279 GitHub 279]) * Requirement: Profiles can have rules for data value validation, including pick lists [ID46] (5.46) [profile] Suggested re-writing as per Action-127: "Requirement: Profiles may provide lists of values to pick from in order to populate data elements [id46] (5.46) [profile]" APPROVED ([https://github.com/w3c/dxwg/issues/282 GitHub 282]) * Requirement: Profiles can have human-readable definitions of terms and input instructions [ID46] (5.46) [profile] APPROVED ([https://github.com/w3c/dxwg/issues/283 GitHub 283]) * Requirement: "Profiles may add to or specialise clauses from one or more base specifications. Such profiles inherit all the constraints from base specifications.” [ID37] [ID39] * Requirement: a vocabulary or data model can be a profile of several other vocabularies or data models at once [https://github.com/w3c/dxwg/issues/268 (GitHub 268]) * RPFDF: Create a way to list the profiles implemented by a dataset or a specific distribution [https://github.com/w3c/dxwg/issues/73 (github 73)] * RMDG: A profile can be based on several data models or vocabs at the same time [[https://github.com/w3c/dxwg/issues/69 (github 69)] The last one was originally worded as simply "Metadata guidance rules" but was accepted with suggestions for rewording. All of the suggestions are in the profile roundup [1]. I picked one that looked good to me. kc [1] https://www.w3.org/2017/dxwg/wiki/ProfileRoundup#Approved_requirements -- Karen Coyle kcoyle@kcoyle.net http://kcoyle.net m: 1-510-435-8234 (Signal) skype: kcoylenet/+1-510-984-3600
