@kcoyle thanks for the clarification. So 'uses' is not so much specified in DC. Which is fine by me. We probably need a relation that is quite abstract. And then we may need specializations with stronger semantics, to answer more specific requirements and the various motivations for profiles you've raised in #435 (indeed it's relevant here!)
