An item that came up in today's telecon: we agreed to use GitHub for most of our issue tracking, but this does require some personal workflows that are a little different relative to what people who have been involved in earlier W3C projects might have followed. We currently have 78 open issues https://github.com/w3c/dxwg/issues Fortunately, GitHub offers plenty of ways to interact. A few tips: * You receive alerts about changes to the DXWG repository in GitHub which are relayed through the public mailing list. To respond, please do not just hit 'reply'. Rather, follow the link at the bottom of the mail, and type your response to the thread into the web form; * There are a multitude of ways to filter the issue list. And we have set up a whole load of labels (tags) to help. So it is easy to only see the issues related to profiles, or provenance, or dcat:Distribution, or to sort the list in various ways. Of particular interest is searching for the issues assigned to you! For example the issues I created are https://github.com/w3c/dxwg/issues/created_by/dr-shorthair Andrea can check his list of assignments at https://github.com/w3c/dxwg/issues?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=is%3Aopen+assignee%3Aandrea-perego The threads where Makx is mentioned are https://github.com/w3c/dxwg/issues?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=is%3Aopen+mentions%3Amakxdekkers You can see the pattern. Try it. * Of course to make this work best, assignments have to be made. While anyone with a GitHub ID can create an issue or comment on a thread, other engagements require that you are a member of the group. Dave Raggett manages this - most participants are now on the list but not everyone yet - please provide your GitHub ID to Dave if you can't change labels, make assignments etc. Simon J D Cox Research Scientist - Environmental Informatics Team Leader - Environmental Information Infrastructure CSIRO Land and Water<http://www.csiro.au/Research/LWF> E simon.cox@csiro.au<mailto:simon.cox@csiro.au> T +61 3 9545 2365 M +61 403 302 672 Mail: Private Bag 10, Clayton South, Vic 3169 Visit: Central Reception, Research Way, Clayton, Vic 3168 Deliver: Gate 3, Normanby Road, Clayton, Vic 3168 people.csiro.au/Simon-Cox<http://people.csiro.au/Simon-Cox> orcid.org/0000-0002-3884-3420<http://orcid.org/0000-0002-3884-3420> researchgate.net/profile/Simon_Cox3<https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Simon_Cox3> github.com/dr-shorthair<https://github.com/dr-shorthair> lov.okfn.org/dataset/lov/agents/Simon%20Cox<http://lov.okfn.org/dataset/lov/agents/Simon%20Cox> Twitter @dr_shorthair<https://twitter.com/dr_shorthair> Skype dr_shorthair<skype:dr_shorthair> https://xkcd.com/1810/ PLEASE NOTE The information contained in this email may be confidential or privileged.
