An initial straw man for the guidance document structure has been committed
to
profiles/index.html

and latest updates should be available soon at

https://w3c.github.io/dxwg/profiles/

This includes Phil's suggested introductory text and a a couple of fairly
raw examples of how we might address requirements - and put the profiledesc
vocabulary into context, which is all about meeting key requirements not
otherwise addressed in W3C vocabularies.

All is up for discussion and improvement, but hopefully this will put
things in perspective a bit better,
