Who is iMinds-MMLab ...

Dear all,

I'm Erik Mannens [1], Research Manager of iMinds-Ghent University-MultimediaLab (Belgium) [2], where I lead a team of 20 researchers doing Semantics with a broad focus on multimedia [3]. I'm also the W3C AC Rep for iMinds [4]. I'm familiar with W3C practices, having co-chaired the the Media Fragments Working Group [5] together with Raphaël Troncy. My team is also currently involved in a few other W3C groups, i.e., the Provenance, CSV, Digital Publishing, RDF JS, and Hydra WG. I'm involved in the Flemish Open Data project as well which has, a.o., been the initiator of the TheDataTank [6] and R&Wbase [7] open source frameworks.
