I've just finished a round of meetings with Vancouver, Surrey, Richmond, North Vancouver and Delta here in BC and a common theme is the need for Open Data standards to compare data sets on a regional basis. I've suggested DCAT and told them about our work on DCAT+. I will organize a use case webinar with the City of Surrey, who have a marvelous open data program built from the ground up. I am going to organize a regional Open Data Smarter Cities workshop with these 5 cities with my W3C hat on. The purpose will be to identify common vocabulary standards for data comparability. Let's discuss next week how this workshop can assist our standards work. Regards, Steve
