If you have a particular expertise we can shuffle. To the best of my knowledge none of us is particularly a Silverlight, Flash, or SMIL experts, so I assigned those out rather randomly. For reference: https://github.com/w3c/dpub-accessibility/wiki Explanation: We seem to be having trouble getting everybody in on the phone calls, and although I'm sure we will eventually manage, our deadlines are rapidly approaching. We'd like to just get started on the work. To that end, we are going ahead and creating homework assignments. George, Charles, and Liam have already begun the work by going through 89 of the general techniques. If we focus on WCAG alone, the nine of us only have about 40 techniques each to get through. I'm assigning a section of the spreadsheet to each of us, and we would like to get through them all by Friday, 30 January. Charles and I will still be available on the Tuesday and Friday phone calls if anyone has any questions, or just wants to work with other people. In fact, George, Charles, and Liam found that going through them together was very fast and efficient, so if you just want to pair up with a spreadsheet buddy, write to the list and see who is interested. This should be a relatively quick task. All we are doing is going through a list of all of the WCAG techniques, and marking if they are relevant for digital publishing. You can see an example of the work that's already begun at: https://docs.google.com/a/safaribooksonline.com/spreadsheets/d/1ipDBubJUy4K7dkFlyPp5e9tctSMiOjQ1xlh4QaGIr6w/edit?pli=1#gid=0 ==General== https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ipDBubJUy4K7dkFlyPp5e9tctSMiOjQ1xlh4QaGIr6w/edit?usp=sharing 150 techniques (89 already completed by George/Charles/Liam) [61 remaining] ==HTML and XHTML Techniques== https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1WOfpEVnZYHqfjgJp7roNE_xaJN-Y3u6PxkauaKgyNqc/edit?usp=sharing 59 techniques ==CSS Techniques== https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1fL9REi-bEvzvL17I4QQWkgNUPAMyIOlndG-Yg3DolrQ/edit?usp=sharing 22 techniques ==Client-side Scripting Techniques== https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DLFcn19nTYKs_AI3b6DmtetQviVYu-OoEJsrqCLWeZs/edit?usp=sharing 22 techniques ==Server-side Scripting Techniques== https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1FEIlzg2SLqxu6TERZRV_lkgROZj6t-6VFwDAlp4HqNc/edit?usp=sharing 5 techniques ==SMIL Techniques== https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1w31-7xnKrDJzItbJdrTJZEf1CP3FfazuKmvB-Zwygjw/edit?usp=sharing 8 techniques ==Plain Text Techniques== https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1z3zFxYW7Cyfp33H0GUNJHwWRvwJW5Zy4M05oitdynHc/edit?usp=sharing 3 techniques ==ARIA Techniques== https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1a-k7Yeno07B4VgqSeVjt0c2oKvrw4cF0JGFrYpF3XeE/edit?usp=sharing 18 techniques ==Flash Techniques== https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Lz2xA_d9080A2_eWcTc03n4RPRiy6wNJKHDeYj7cchc/edit?usp=sharing 36 techniques ==Silverlight Techniques== https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1k2fCfRJmoUwzwTqd7ewWPbFUZ0TV1VF_ZjIPSf-ZBVU/edit?usp=sharing 35 techniques ==PDF Techniques== https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1s5SWFm3DyS0BQGw6fn7HtkMAcWJUz-bITiwh-kv6Z8k/edit?usp=sharing 23 techniques ==Common Failures== https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/14TaifBye_leDtbQnKA8bkinpl7icGuyvMqxlmVJSY2M/edit?usp=sharing 77 techniques
