RE: Information on epublishing

Hi,

If you bookmark:
http://www.epubtest.org

you will find the latest on EPUB testing of reading systems. The column on
the far right in the grid has information about accessibility. We are crowd
sourcing this testing and look forward to have more results over time.

Volunteers for accessibility testing can contact me.

Deborah, Charles,

I have received this question, but I think you guys are in a much better
position to give a good answer. Can you help me and, primarily, Vivienne
out? Thanks a lot!

Ivan

Hi Ivan

Thanks for connecting with me on LinkedIn. Rick Barrett also just gave me
your email address. I was lovely to catch up with the IW3C2 group here in
Perth, and I trust you have a lovely time getting to know us and our State.

I have a client who is interested in changing from PDF to ePub3 for their
annual reports. They know they will have to provide a link to an accessible
reader for those who want to view the document online.

While I was at TPAC I chatted briefly with someone from the epub group who
talked about accessible readers. Can you give me the names of some
accessible, free epub readers that I can recommend to my client? There are
quite a few clients here with similar questions who are hoping that epub3
will be an answer to providing the reports in an accessible format, seeing
that it is based on HTML 5 and there is good accessibility support (of
course, if it created properly).

Your thoughts would be very much appreciated.

Please note that I check my emails at 9am and 4pm (or roughly). If you need
me for something urgent between these hours, please feel free to message or
phone me on my mobile, 0415 383 673.
