Tzviya Siegman Digital Book Standards & Capabilities Lead Wiley 201-748-6884 tsiegman@wiley.com -----Original Message----- From: Coralie Mercier [mailto:coralie@w3.org] Sent: Monday, June 29, 2015 2:29 PM To: w3c-ac-forum@w3.org Cc: chairs@w3.org Subject: New CSS Working Group Chairs: Rossen Atanassov, Alan Stearns Dear Advisory Committee Representative, Chairs, We would like to thank Daniel Glazman and Peter Linss for their service as co-chairs of the CSS Working Group. After seven years [1], they have decided to step down from the co-chair role. They will continue to contribute their invaluable technical and implementation expertise as Working Group members. Daniel and Peter were appointed at a critical time for CSS, when CSS 2.1 was solidifying as the key interoperable core of CSS. They ably led the group through the next challenge of ensuring that the huge array of CSS modules each retained forwards momentum. In addition to co-chairing, the CSS test suite reporting framework and Shepherd [2] test suite management tool, written by Peter, were strong contributory factors to the success of the CSS Working Group at this time. We are pleased to announce the new co-chairs of the Group, whose names will be familiar to anyone who follows the development of CSS: Rossen Atanassov (Microsoft) Alan Stearns (Adobe) The handover from outgoing to incoming co-chairs will take place at the start of TPAC 2015. Bert Bos and Chris Lilley remain Staff contacts. This announcement follows section 6.1 of the W3C Process [3] [1] https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Member/w3c-ac-members/2008JanMar/0042.html [2] http://test.csswg.org/shepherd/ [3] http://www.w3.org/2005/10/Process-20051014/groups.html#ReqsAllGroups Thank you, For Tim Berners-Lee, W3C Director, Philippe Le Hegaret, Interaction Domain Lead; Coralie Mercier, Acting Head of W3C Marketing and Communications -- Coralie Mercier - W3C Communications Team - http://www.w3.org mailto:coralie@w3.org +336 4322 0001 http://www.w3.org/People/CMercier/
