Hi, I'm curious whether there might be interest or demand within the group for a DID method that leverages PGP/GPG keyservers. The motivation behind this idea is to simplify on-boarding into the decentralized ecosystem. By using this method, individuals who already have keys published on keyservers could seamlessly obtain a DID as a starting point. For instance, a user could exchange an email address (or another human-readable identifier associated with a keyserver entry) for a corresponding DID, easing the transition into the decentralized identity space. This concept emerged as one potential approach to broaden access to decentralized ecosystems and applications leveraging DIDs. It aims to lower the barriers for users who may already be familiar with keyservers but are new to DIDs. I’d appreciate any thoughts or feedback on this idea, as well as insight into whether there is interest or alignment with the goals of this group. Best regards, Filip
