Hi All, Today, 27 May 2021, the Devices and Sensors Working Group re-published the Geolocation API as a First Public Working Draft: https://www.w3.org/TR/geolocation/ Congrats to the group for this achievement and thanks to Marcos for assuming the editor role and pushing the changes through. This spec has an interesting history. Those of you who have been around for longer remember this spec was first published as FPWD in 2008 by the now closed Geolocation Working Group, hit Recommendation first time in 2013 and received two refreshes to the Rec on 2015 and 2016 respectively. The spec was without a home from 2017 up until 2019 when the Devices and Sensors WG provided a new home for this spec and took care of its maintenance. And here we are, in 2021, with a new FPWD publication that retrofits modern privacy and security protections as per our group's commitment to secure and privacy-preserving Web APIs. Please see the changes since last publication for details: https://www.w3.org/TR/2021/WD-geolocation-20210527/#changes-since-last-publication Thanks, -Anssi (DAS WG co-Chair)
