Anssi Kostiainen appointed chair of the Device and Sensors Working Group; Frederick Hirsch steps down

Dear Device and Sensors Working Group,

After 8 years of continuous service to the group, our current chair,
Frederick, has requested to step down from this role.

I am personally extremely grateful to Frederick for all the work he has
put in the group over the years. Those of you who have followed the
group since its start know that the group went through several up and
downs, with often difficult decisions to be made on finding the right
scope to succeed, and Frederick has always been instrumental in getting
us through these difficulties.

I'm also glad that Anssi, another long timer and prolific contributor to
the group, has accepted to step up as chair of the group. We hope to
bring another co-chair as we look at rechartering the group, with an
expanded participation set.

Many thanks to both Frederick and Anssi!
