mfoltzgoogle has just created a new issue for https://github.com/w3c/sensors: == Spec should allow user agents to reduce or disable polling for power saving purposes == For Presentation API, we have an explicit requirement [1] that the API be power-saving friendly, and some in the spec into how the UA can modify algorithms for continuous discovery of presentation displays in a power saving scenario [2]. The Sensors API use cases seem similar enough that some similar accommodations can be made (with an additional twist of also working in a Worker context). I'm happy to help with a PR once the read algorithms are more fleshed out.
