Hi, As part of the discussions on the new test suite for the Contacts API [1], I have set up a repository for our Working Group on W3C's Mercurial server, dvcs.w3.org ; Mercurial is a so called decentralized versioning control system, similar to CVS but more powerful in its ability to manage branches and merges (as well as more modern in terms of management of directories, files moving, etc). Mercurial has already been adopted by a number of W3C groups for managing their test suites (and some of their specifications as well), so it makes sense we would align with that. Our repository has been configured so that the latest version of its content be visible on http://w3c-test.org/dap/ Every participant in our Working Group has automatically write access to the repository, using your traditional W3C Web account credentials. Anyone (both inside and outside our group) can checkout the content of the repository using the command "hg clone https://dvcs.w3.org/hg/dap" The content of the repository can also be browsed from http://dvcs.w3.org/hg/dap/file/tip Introducing how Mercurial works would be beyond the scope of this announcement; there are some early documentation in the W3C Tools wiki, that you should feel free to consult and complete: http://www.w3.org/2006/tools/wiki/Mercurial Dom 1. http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-device-apis/2011May/0036.html
