Hi all, this is a document that might usefully be considered by those on the WG who are interested in sensors: http://www.w3.org/2005/Incubator/ssn/XGR-ssn-20110628/ It is the report produced by the SSN XG and one of its recommendations is to be followed up by the creation of a Community Group that will further its work. While it contains a lot of things that some will find scary (diagrams, ontologies, XML, smart knives) it is recommended reading in this area because it covers a large array of use cases (some of which I had no idea even existed) and provides a lot of good background information on the problems and solutions surrounding sensors. In other words, even if you think you might disagree with some of its technological preferences, it is still worth reading for the wealth of information that it captures. Presumably the XG still takes feedback and questions on public-xg-ssn@w3.org, and if there's interest I'd be happy to coordinate with them to come explain some of their work to us. -- Robin Berjon - http://berjon.com/ - @robinberjon
