Hey there, I wanted to send in a quick email about the Web Application Privacy Best Practices document. First of all I want to say, this is an excellent document - as a web developer things like this really speed up the decision making process. One thing I would like to see in future versions of this document is an expansion of some of the examples and maybe some small cases studies explaining things like what information is commonly held on for longer than what is needed - I feel at the moment some of the points could be interpreted several different ways, which could lead to people developing in the spirit of the document, but missing the main points of the document. If you are interested, I blogged about the release of this document essentially saying the same things I said here - http://tosbourn.com/2011/08/development/the-w3c-have-released-web-application-privacy-best-practices-what-do-we-do-with-it/ Cheers Toby
