Quick Introduction

I've participated in various W3C standards efforts since 2000 and have  
served as an editor on a number of specifications.  My interest in the  
Device API group is informed by my participation in product efforts  
for Google, Microsoft, and Nuance to bring speech technologies into  
the mobile context.  Various approaches have been used over the years,  
from the desktop focused SALT and XHTML+Voice specifications of  
2002-4, to native APIs, to RIA markup approaches such as Flash, and  
most recently to ECMAScript-based initiatives.

I look forward to the discussion and in aiding the maturation of the  
Device API work where ever I can.
