A while ago I have experimented with the idea of combining a wake lock with background geolocation tracking and documented my findings in a [blog post](https://blog.tomayac.com/2018/12/18/experimenting-with-the-wake-lock-api/#demo-2-system-wake-lock-for-a-run-tracker).
