Sure (I know how permissions currently work...). As I said, I recommend the following order: ask permission, check if a sensor exists. Access to API requires permissions, regardless of there being a sensor(s) or not. Second, and to the point: ask for permission to access the API first, otherwise you may end up introducing fingerprinting/profiling issues.
