@KyleWpppd & @romainmenke, I used to think that manipulating the tree would get difficult without a mandatory `$type`. But we need to recall the format aims for data transportation and "easy" human editing. To put my head around this issue I'm building a parser that reveal how `$type` is not mandatory for data further data transformation nor validation by traversing the tree.
