In discussing SVG in the wiki at http://www.w3.org/community/declarative3d/wiki/Base_Types#SVG it says: "Another drawback is that this system is not designed to handle multiple arithmetic operations: " It goes on, as I understand it, to explain that SVG handles multiple transforms only through matric operations.
