Jeni and I were just talking Ivan and Phil about the WGs plans for August. A couple of things: 1. August planning - will you be around for teleconferences? We know that some/many of the WG are likely to be taking vacation during August (and/or the remainder of July). It would help our planning (e.g. whether/when to suspend telecons) if you could follow up in this thread with an indication of your vacation plans, and whether you think it would be better to skip calls for all or some of August. I don't think this needs Doodle - please go into whatever level of detail you prefer! 2. TPAC - time to start your travel planning! As you will hopefully remember, we have a Face to Face meeting booked as part of W3C's upcoming Technical Plenary week at the end of October. Specifically mon and tues 27th/28th October. See http://www.w3.org/2014/11/TPAC/ for full details of TPAC including other WG meetings happening during the same week. It is the biggest technical gathering of the W3C year and a good chance to keep in sync with other efforts in the Web standards world. See http://www.w3.org/2014/11/TPAC/#venue for venue and hotel information. The event is in the Santa Clara Marriott, Santa Clara, California USA. According to the TPAC site, a W3C-negotiated room rate is available if you book through the dedicated link ("You must book by 10/03/14 to receive the group rate."; I believe that means Oct 3rd not Mar 10th :). If you'd like to participate in the F2F please take a look into this sooner rather than later, so you can get the best prices for travel and accommodation. cheers, Dan
