Summary: Animation sandwich model does not consider CSS3
Transitions and SMIL Animations
Product: CSS
Version: unspecified
Platform: PC
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Animations
AssignedTo: dino@apple.com
ReportedBy: dschulze@adobe.com

The current specification of the animation sandwich model in CSS3 Animation
does not describe how CSS3 Transitions and SMIL Animations contribute to the
animation sandwich model.
For SMIL Animations there is a section "The animation sandwich model"[1]. The
wording there lead to some wrong assumptions and does not consider CSS
animations or transitions. That is why CSS3 Animation should fill the gap.
The image http://dev.w3.org/csswg/css3-animations/sandwich.png needs an update
as well.
