The widths of hiragana, katakana, and han glyphs in high-quality Japanese fonts supporting the OpenType feature palt e.g. Noto Sans CJK and Yu Gothic except for Yu Gothic UI are the same by default. If the font provides a variant font whose name just removed P (e.g. MS PGothic and BIZ UDPGothic), those in it do not share the same width. I think that han glyphs in Chinese fonts also share the same width but have not investigated it yet. -- GitHub Notification of comment by tats-u Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/3658#issuecomment-3325907604 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
