Indeed, if within a palette we use the same absolute chroma value for each lightness variant, this update would give consistent lightness progression (and prevent unwanted hue shifts). But then for the chroma progression, relative chroma seems to be a good addition to achieve a satisfying result easily, and in that case, the clipping method would matter less as we are always in bounds (even if it's still a needed update). Although as we can see in the example from the [documentation](https://github.com/dokozero/oklch-css-relative-chroma-documentation?tab=readme-ov-file#how-to-make-all-palettes-blend-smoothly) I have recently updated, there are still some little tweaks to do if we want to craft palettes that look good together (even if not mandatory), which in that case, is also easier with relative chroma. -- GitHub Notification of comment by dokozero Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/11946#issuecomment-2748981102 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
