gitspeaks has just created a new issue for https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts: == (css-overflow-3) Clarify how overflow values apply to the viewport == According to the specification in [3.3. Overflow Viewport Propagation](https://www.w3.org/TR/css-overflow-3/#overflow-propagation): > "If visible is applied to the viewport, it must be interpreted as auto. If clip is applied to the viewport, it must be interpreted as hidden." However, based on the definitions of [hidden](https://www.w3.org/TR/css-overflow-3/#valdef-overflow-hidden), [auto](https://www.w3.org/TR/css-overflow-3/#valdef-overflow-auto), and consequently [scroll](https://www.w3.org/TR/css-overflow-3/#valdef-overflow-scroll): > "Content is clipped to the padding box." This creates an inconsistency because the concept of the "padding box" does not apply to the viewport. It is unclear how the rules should be interpreted in this context.
